Tell us “your story.” How did you end up at Avalon?
I was looking to get out of the restaurant business and my boyfriend, now husband, had been working with Avalon for a few years and told me about an open workflow position [Liz's first job with Avalon]. I interviewed with Shawn, Mike, and Louise and got the job.
What’s your favorite thing about Avalon?The team effort that is put in, so we can best service our clients and be proud of the product we put out.
What’s your favorite thing about your position at Avalon?
Every day is different. There is never a dull moment. I also enjoy talking to so many different clients daily and being appreciated for the hard work you do for them.
What is your proudest moment at Avalon?
The day I became Top Gun, October 6, 2019, for my sales from September. 😊 [Being a "Top Gun" is the highest honor for salespeople at Avalon. Congrats, Liz!!]
What does a typical workday look like for you?
Speaking to our clients, as well as our production and service teams. Answering several emails and phones calls, and doing everything I can to help make the impossible happen for our clients!
What’s your favorite workplace memory?
Curling with the team at our January meeting last year. It was fun to try something new with everyone.
What are you listening to right now (music/podcast/audio book)?
I listen to music every morning while doing cardio at the gym. I'm currently listening to Missy Elliot Radio on Pandora.
What’s your favorite motivational quote?
Push yourself because no one else is going to do it for you.
If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would it be and why?
Bora Bora. It sounds fun and looks tropical. I love relaxing on the beach in the sun!
If you were stuck on an island and could only bring three things, what would they be?An elliptical, Stoli Raspberry, and my phone (so I can work out, have a cocktail and see my kids).
What do you do for fun?Go to the gym, host parties, go on vacation, dance, and I enjoy activities with my kids.
